My sons, Brad and Matthew, entered cars in the Cub Scouts Pinewood Derby.  I think James had as much fun as the boys did.  It was amazing how many accessories there were for the cars.  It all starts with a kit that had a block of wood and the wheels.  There are rules regarding size and weight.  There were 18 cars entered and a wide variety of styles.  There was one made out of legos and several were hand-carved.  You could tell that all the boys and parents had put a lot of effort in the cars.  The dads were highly competitive.

I added the poem on the back page for any of you that are going through hard times.  I have worked with 2 families this month who have lost loved ones suddenly and at a young age.  It is a reminder that God has a plan we just don’t always understand it.

This month’s newsletter has an article on planning for disability.  Like death it is something that is something we don’t want to think about.  As the article indicates, a disability is very likely to happen to your during your lifetime.  The better plan you have in place the easier it will be on your loved ones.

There is also an article on special needs planning.  This is planning for any family member with a disability.
